Our Weekend (by Travis)

On Friday we decorated for Christmas, this included the Fisher Price nativity which Zane likes to play with. He is pictured here putting his snacks in the plastic tray that holds the hay.

On Saturday morning I wanted to play the Wii. Zane usually likes to hold a remote but he was trying to hit the tennis ball and was making all sorts of sound effects. It was a lot of fun.

That afternoon we were at Marcie's parents house and Zane wanted to follow Al outside. So I got his jacket and we went on a long walk. For those who don't know he has been walking for 2 weeks or so.

That night we went to Wingers were Zane took most of my fries and took turns dipping them in my ketchup and ranch dressing. When he was done he would offer me the soggy half chewed fry.

Later that night he wouldn't eat anything so I set a bowl of applesauce on his tray with a spoon thinking it would entertain him for a while. I was wrong, he was only entertained until I left the room. It really was a great weekend.

Mmmmm...

Zane has been making some pretty good headway with feeding himself and using a 'poon' but he still makes quite a mess.

Zany Zane

Well, this past week Zane and I have both had a cold with runny noses. I guess having the tissue out and a quiet boy should have been the first clue that he was up to something. Too bad he doesn't know how to use one on himself yet.

Zane's World

Zane has just gone crazy talking. His first word was Dog. My favorites for now are Shoes and Potato (see video above). I thought I would list some of the things he can say these days:
Dog, Light, Shoes, Car, Slide, Dad, Grandpa, Mom, No (of course), Potato, Turtle, Juice, Bread, Ball, Bath, Outside, and I'm sure a couple of things I'm forgetting. The other fun thing, as of late, is he answers our questions by saying "no". When we say "Zane, should we change your diaper?" he says "no" and so on. I know what you are thinking, ask "Should we NOT change your diaper?" We tried that! He just stares at us until we ask a question again that he wants to say "no" to. It's like he actually knows what we're saying and it makes us laugh!

Happy Halloween (by Travis)

For Halloween Zane was Squirt from Finding Nemo.

Zane loves cars, in fact if you don't hear him say it in a ten minute period there is a good chance he is eating or sleeping.

BBQ at Ledgemere up Big Cottonwood Canyon.

One of his new favorites and new words, the slide.

This is on the way home from both Grandparents houses on Halloween, note the glow stick. He wouldn't let it go, we had the same problem with a flashlight the night before.
