So we finally got around to taking some pictures of Zane for his 1st year. He's quite a cutie.

Back on Track
So here is the update from this past month! I've started from most recent and went backwards....
He did have a great birthday and even got into opening presents a bit. He got a lot of fun presents and is loving new things to play with. Strangly, the mini missionaries are at the top of his list! He HATED the cake! What more can I say, he screamed at it and crawled away as fast as his little chubby legs would carry him.
This month, we also enrolled in swimming lessons. They really consisted of playing with your child in the pool, but he loved it. It was fun for the adults too and we miss having a reason to go to the pool with friends.
Last but not least, we took a trip to the Grand Canyon. We had a lot of fun checking out the sites and relaxing on the porch. I think Zane's favorite thing was playing in the dirt with Grandpa Scott.

Seconds
Zane's first birthday was last Wednesday and before his second he'll be a big brother! So, I should officially announce to the world that we are having a second baby (if you didn't notice the countdown on the side of the page or understand the first sentence)! We are so excited for Zane to be a big brother, I'm just hoping he can learn to be gentle. I have been on a sort of a hiatus for a while because our internet has been shut down while we change providers. We have lots more to update you on from the last 2 weeks as Zane has had his 1st birthday, we've been doing swimming lessons, took a trip to the Grand Canyon, I started a new job, we remodeled the bathroom, and now things are finally settling down.

One for me one for you (by Travis)
With Zane being in-charge of what goes in his mouth we get to find out what he will eat along with what Maggie will eat. Usually he take a handful for him and drops some on the floor for her. You can actually see the pasta dropping in this picture. As a note Maggie doesn't like Bananas and Black Beans. While Zane doesn't like anything that Mom or Dad try to put in his mouth, as a side note he will put carpet, thread, dirt, and gross Gerber Graduates Pasta in there. If you look close you can also see that I put a Christmas bib on him in July. Why you ask? Because it was the next one on the pile.

Dad's Helper

On July 5th we went for a hike up Bell Canyon with Brad, Roxi, Scott and Mona. It was beautiful and a great way to start the day.
